The Keeper of the Plains, an original sculpture by Blackbear Bosin, stands watch over the meeting of the Big and Little Arkansas Rivers. The Keeper is considered by many to be the iconic symbol of Wichita.
This original Solarplate etching was created from a photograph taken by the artist. The photo was then modified digitally and used as original art in the platemaking process. Watercolor tints were added by hand following the printing of the edition.
