Description

The Gene Leahy Mall, also known locally as Central Park or The Mall, is a 9.6 acre park located in Downtown Omaha, Nebraska.  The Mall was named after Omaha Mayor Eugene A. Leahy, and is regarded as being a major impetus for the redevelopment of the downtown into a thriving commercial, residential and cultural center in Omaha.

This original Solarplate etching was created from a photograph taken by the artist.  The photo was then modified digitally and used as original art in the platemaking process.  Watercolor tints were added by hand following the printing of the edition.
